Katherine Heigl, 29, and Josh Kelley, 27, just returned from their romantic and blissful vacation getaway in Los Cabos, Mexico. It seems the couple got the best of both worlds: commemorating the union with a snow-filled Utah wedding, followed by an extended stay at Esperanza, one the most luxurious resorts in Mexico. Their 3,000 square-foot Baja-style room came fully-loaded with a private outdoor terrace, handcrafted furnishings, original artwork, and an amazing view of the Sea of Cortez.

Katherine tells OK! Magazine: “The first night we got to Esperanza, we stayed in, ordered room service and just loved being together.” On the nights they were able to extricate themselves from their epicurean quarters, they dined on private 6-course meals while taking in the open sandy beaches and crashing waves. “It's a beautiful place with a beyond-relaxing environment,” she tells OK! Magazine. “You can have a fancy evening or do nothing at all and be just as content.”

Despite their wonderful stay, the honeymoon had gotten off to a rocky start. Upon arriving to the airport, Heigl discovered that she had left her passport at home. The couple missed their direct flight to Cabo and had to make a stop in California. Luckily, this bump didn't deter them from having the time of their lives! Once they got settled in, Josh serenaded Heigl by the pool with songs that are being released on his new upcoming album.

The honeymoon, like all vacations, had to come to close eventually. Heigl and Kelley returned to L.A. only to find that their SUV – which had been parked outside their Hollywood Hills flat, had been broken into. Fortunately, the only thing missing was their GPS - despite the fact that Kelley had left 2 of his prized possessions, his guitars, on the back seat. It seems luck was on his side!

The couple have purchased a new home and are thrilled to begin the moving process. “We are excited and anxious to get into our new house because it's a symbol of our lives starting together,” Katherine states. “Newlywed life is very similar to ours before marriage. We are staying home a little more, and I am definitely cooking more. There is a weird sense of being settled and calm, but it's a great feeling.”
